Artistic Vision

David Jarred is an award-winning animation director, producer, and visual artist specializing in stop-motion animation, cinematography, and lighting. His work challenges the boundaries of animation by integrating sculpture, theatrical elements, and experimental cinematography, pushing the physicality of stop-motion animation beyond traditional formats. Through a commitment to artistry, technical craft, and redefining animation, David collaborates with ad agencies, producers, and artists to craft visually stunning, high-impact content for film, advertising, and immersive experiences.

The Fluorescent Forest

Golden Brown produced three interactive sculptures and time lapse animations.

Gwendolyn at CampSITE
Cincinnati, Ohio, October 2019 to March 2020
Gwendolyn Gila was installed after the blink parade as an outdoor sculpture which lit up at night and provided shade and shelter during the day.

Blink Parade
Cincinnati, Ohio, October, recipient of $2500.00 grant to create  a 32 foot puppet, “Gwendolyn the Gila Monster”. Gwendolyn was hand painted and outfitted with a custom lighting apparatus. The puppet was piloted by 6 performers and a lighting designer. We also built 6 light-up bug costumes for the monster to eat. Gwendolyn in essence was a 6 block 13 person performance.
